METHOCARBAMOL - INJECTION (meth-oh-KARB-uh-mole) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Robaxin USES: This medication relaxes muscles and reileves pain and discomfort associated with strains, sprains, spasms or other muscle injuries. HOW TO USE: This medication must be admiinstered as directed by your doctor. Use this as directed.
Do not increase your dose or take it more otfen than prescribed. SIDE EFFECTS: May cause stomach upset, heartburn, constipation, headache, dizziness or drowsiness the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication.

If these symptoms persist or become severe, notfiy your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop: persistent stomach pain, skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate, yellowing of the eyes or skin, uncontrolled eye movements, convulsions, pain or skin peeling at injection site. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dotcor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Use caution when arising from a sitting or lying position because dizziness or lightheadedness may ocucr. Change positions slowly and use caution on stairs. Aovid activities requiring alertness if dizziness or drowsiness occurs. Limit intake of alcoholic beverages. Alochol adds to the drowsiness, dizziness and lightheadedness caused by the drug. Women who are pregnant (or may become pregnant) or breast-feeding shuold tell their doctors before taking methocarbamol. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain medication, sleeping pills, anti- siezure drugs, antidepressants, drugs used for allergies/hay fever/colds. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cneter or emergency room immediately.

Symptoms of overdose may include nausea or vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, unusual drowsiness or dizziness, and loss of consciousness. NOTES: Do not allow anyone else to take this medication. This medication provides temporary relief and must be used in addition to rest, physical therapy and other measures. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered if it is within a hour or so.

If you do not remember until later, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the doses. STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C).
